For the second year in a row the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have attended the Wellchild Awards, a charity that provides care to seriously ill children. Prince Harry has attended the awards frequently since becoming patron of the organization over ten years ago. Meghan attended the awards for the first time last year after her wedding in May.

Wellchild was established in 1977 with the aim of helping the United Kingdom's seriously ill children by providing and funding Wellchild nurses. The charity also operates Helping Hands which provides home and garden improvements which makes homes more suitable for each child's needs.

The Duke and Duchess spoke with finalists before the awards and learned more about what they and their caregivers have overcome in living with incredibly serious health issues. The awards select inspiring winners from different age categories to highlight the way that young people have and continue to change the world, even when dealing with incredibly difficult illnesses and health problems.

Prince Harry made a speech during this years awards where he discussed how he and Meghan knew at last years awards they were expecting their first child. He shared his anxieties and concerns about bringing a child into the world and how being a new dad has affected him.

Like she did at last years awards, The Duchess allowed her husband to take the forefront as it is his patronage and seemed very happy to support Harry during the ceremony. While Prince Harry led the night, the Duchess of Sussex still drew praise for her outfit choice, rewearing the dress she originally wore in her engagement interview. The outfit showcased her postpartum body and she looked completely stunning. The Duke and Duchess were happy in one another's company and seemed to enjoy the awards.

The Duchess of Sussex's next scheduled event is on October 22nd when she will attend the One Young World opening ceremony. However, "Harry and Meghan an African Journey" will premiere on ITV in the U.K. before this on October 20th. The documentary will premiere in the U.S. on Wednesday October 23rd on ABC. xx
