The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have announced that they welcomed a baby boy early Monday morning. Both mother and baby Sussex are said to be doing well and other members of the family has shared that they are 'delighted' with the news. While a name likely won't be released for a few days here are some of the things we do know:

- Baby Sussex was born at 5:26 GMT weighing 7lb and 3oz

- He was slightly overdue, according to the Duke of Sussex

- There will be a photo call in 2 days likely on the grounds of Windsor

- Baby Sussex's grandmother, Doria Ragland, is with baby and mother

Before giving birth, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex said that they were planning on keeping the plans surrounding Baby Sussex's arrival private. While there is still a lot of speculation surrounding the name and what titles the baby might have there are a lot of guesses circling.

Currently odd makers have Arthur, Albert, Phillip, James, Alexander and Alfred on the top of lists. In my opinion, Arthur is unlikely seeing as Pippa Matthews named her first son Arthur last year. I do think that Phillip or Charles will likely be somewhere in the name but I don't see it being Baby Sussex's first name. Of the list odd makers have come up with James and Alexander are my favorites.

In terms of a possible title for Baby Sussex, it seems most likely that they will be a Lord. Meghan and Harry could opt out of their child having a title, as Princess Anne did, or the Queen could intervene to give the baby a higher title. Both of these seem unlikely however if tradition is any indication.

Both of Prince Andrews daughters were titled as Princess's. However, they are the Queens grandchildren rather than great-grandchildren so it would surprise me if Baby Sussex became a Prince. It seems more likely that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex would follow Prince Edwards example, his daughter is fashioned as Lady Louise Windsor.

Since Baby Sussex will continue to fall down the line of succession throughout his life, much like Lady Louise, a lordship would make the most sense. However, there are many different ways that this could change depending on what the family decides to do.

While we wait for more news about Baby Sussex, likely coming in 2 days time during the photo call, everything not directly released by the Duke and Duchess or the Palace is purely speculation.

Congratulations to the new parents and I wish them all the best! xx
