The Duchess of Cornwall and Princess Anne in Scotland

The Duchess of Cornwall made an appearance with her sister-in-law, the Princess Royal at the University of Aberdeen for a special ceremony. Camilla, who is Chancellor of the University of Aberdeen presented Princess Anne with an honorary degree for her contribution to public life.
As the Queens only daughter, Princess Anne has been a full time working Royal for more than forty years and is involved with over three hundred charities, several of which are based in Scotland. Camilla, or the Duchess of Rothesay as she is known in Scotland recognized her sister-in-laws incredible accomplishments during a ceremony at the University. Both Camilla and Anne have done a substantial amount of work in Scotland and across the United Kingdom.
Princess Anne in particular has worked with sporting groups and charitable organizations based in Scotland which include her patronage of Scotland Rugby which she has held since 1986. The Princess Royal also holds honorary military roles in Scotland which include Royal Colonel of The Royal Scots Borderers and 52nd Lowland, 6th Battalion.

While Camilla and Anne can often be seen together at family gatherings, they do not typically do separate engagements just the two of them so seeing them together for such a special occasion was a treat for fans. The pair have known one another since the 1960's as they shared several mutual friends and they even (according to rumor) both dated Andrew Parker Bowles.
Princess Anne is often regarded as one of the hardest working royals (she and Prince Charles typically trade the title back and forth every couple years) and her work has earned her praise, not only from the charities she supports, but from fans. Following the release of series three of The Crown, and Erin Doherty (who plays Princess Anne) became the breakout star of the season, Princess Anne has enjoyed some long overdue recognition for her tireless work ethic as well as he steady and tough nature.
Fans can expect to see plenty more of both Princess Anne and the Duchess of Cornwall in the coming weeks as Royals resume work following the Christmas holiday. xx
