The Duke and Duchess of Sussex Discuss Equality

The Duke joined the Duchess of Sussex for a round table in association with the Queens Commonwealth Trust and One young World. They focused on discussions of gender equality and how practices that support gender equality can be implemented in a wide variety of communities. The Duchess has championed issues of gender equality and feminism for a number of years and it has been a central theme of her work since joining the Royal Family.
The Duke was not originally scheduled to attend the engagement so it was a very exciting surprise to the the couple together. Meghan spoke before beginning the round table, thanking them for letting Harry come and also giving her husband credit for beginning his work on gender equality in 2013.

They were joined by youth from across the commonwealth who are leaders in their communities. The goal of the discussion was to allow these young people to return to their home nations with the tools and experience to help further initiatives and positive change that is already in place to help make the world a better place.
Harry and Meghan are the President and Vice-President respectively off the Queens Commonwealth Trust and have stated that much of their work moving forward will be with youth in the commonwealth. As of today, 60% of the commonwealth is under thirty and both the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are passionate about helping them.
