Sophie hosts 100 Women in Finance at Buckingham Palace

The Countess of Wessex has hosted a special reception for 100 Women in Finance at Buckingham Palace tonight. Sophie is an ambassador for the organization and has been supporting them in many different ways as of late. Most recently she visited New York and Toronto to join a panel encouraging young girls to pursue a career within the finance industry.
During the event, the Countess spoke about how honored she was to be able to be a global ambassador for the next generation initiative. She spoke about how well the initiative was going in terms of encouraging young girls to join the career and working with women already established in the industry.
According to 100 Women in Finance their mission is to invest in the next generation of women through presenting greater visibility of female role models and to create educational opportunities and access points for more young women to be able to join the industry. Other members of the Royal Family have previously supported the organization including the Duchess of Cambridge.
Promotion of women and girls in a variety of fields has been one of the Countess of Wessex's biggest projects since joining the Royal Family in 1999. Through her support of 100 Women in Finance, the Preventing Sexual Violence Initiative and encouraging young girls and women to speak up, she has certainly made an undeniable impact. xx
