Princess Anne at London Fashion Week

The Princess Royal was in attendance at London Fashion Week in her role as President of the UK Fashion and Textile Association. She was on hand to present the Queen Elizabeth award for British Design to jewelry designer Rosh Mahtani. The Queen Elizabeth Award began in 2018 to recognize young designers who are making an impact in the fashion industry through sustainable practices or community engagement.
Rosh Mahtani's brand, Alighieri uses responsibly sourced materials and promotes local manufacturing. While the crown has a long history of promoting British fashion and brands, the partnership between the Royal Family and London Fashion Week is quite new. Her Majesty attended a runway show alongside Anna Wintour during London Fashion Week in 2018 to present the first Queen Elizabeth award.
The Princess Royal has had ties to the UK fashion industry going back decades. She has long supported British brands and designers in roles of president, patron and ambassador for numerous organizations. xx
