The first details for Princess Beatrice's wedding to Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi have been released by Buckingham Palace. In the announcement they revealed the wedding will take place on May 29th 2020 and that the ceremony will take place at the Chapel Royal on the grounds of St. James Palace. The Queen has given her permission for the private reception to be held on the grounds of Buckingham Palace.

The event will not be televised and it has yet to be announced what type of media presence will be allowed but it promises to be a much more intimate affair than that of her sister, Princess Eugenie's wedding in 2018. The Chapel Royal is a much smaller more intimate venue than that of Royal weddings in recent history. The venue has hosted countless royal events through the years including weddings and christenings. The last royal wedding to be held in the venue was that of the Queens parents, then the Duke of York of Mary of Teck. Both Prince George and Prince Louis were christened at the Chapel Royal on the grounds of St. James Palace in 2013 and 2018 respectively.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were the last royal couple to host their reception at Buckingham Palace after their 2011 nuptials. It is more than likely that their children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis could be pageboys and bridesmaids at the May wedding.

Both Prince George and Princess Charlotte were in Princess Eugenie's wedding party and they could be showing their little brother the ropes this Spring. Princess Charlotte was only two when she was a bridesmaid for her aunt, Pippa Matthews, so age shouldn't be an issue for the youngest prince who will be two this April. It is rumored that Edoardo's son will act as his best man in the ceremony, though this has yet to be confirmed by an official source. In addition, despite the scandals, Andrew will be walking his daughter down the aisle according to reporters.

Princess Beatrice will be able to retain her title when she gets married but, if tradition stands, Edoardo will not be given a title. Beatrice may follow in her sisters footsteps and change her title at a later date to Princess Beatrice, Mrs. Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi (Princess Eugenie is now referred to as Princess Eugenie, Mrs. Jack Brooksbank in the Court Circular). The couple have also asked that in lieu of gifts, well wishers please donate to Big Change and Cricket Builds Hope. More details will likely be announced in the weeks leading up to the wedding. xx
