The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have purchased a new home in Santa Barbara California. The couple had reportedly been staying at Tyler Perry’s Los Angeles home after leaving Canada before lockdown was announced in the States. Their new nine-bedroom home is believed to be where they will be setting down roots and raising their one-year-old son, Archie.

Meghan was born and raised in Los Angeles but moved to Canada in her early thirties to film Suits, a legal drama on USA network. The pair had spent the holidays in Canada before announcing their plans to step back as working royals. However, they have been in California since March.

Their new home boasts a pool, tennis courts, playground and plenty of outdoor space for Archie to play in. Prince Harry has shared how much he is enjoying California in a zoom call to mark the 125th anniversary of the Rugby League. Meghan has also shared her joy in returning home with Gloria Steinem and during an interview with The 19th*

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have paid off renovations for their home in England, Frogmore Cottage, as well. Their representatives have made it clear that they plan to split their time between Windsor and Santa Barbara in the future. With the ongoing pandemic, they have remained in California and have continued to follow the States ordinances in regards to mask wearing, social gathering and travel.

They have showed off some parts of their new home for zoom calls with charities. The house appears to be decorated in a modern traditional style and boasts nature themed artwork. From various calls fans have also been able to see some beautiful natural wood and stone work throughout the house. xx
