Born Rachel Meghan Markle in Los Angeles California of 4th August 1981. Meghan attended Hollywood Little Red Schoolhouse and Immaculate Heart High School. She went on to attend Northwestern University in 1999 where she earned degrees in Theater and International Relations. At Northwestern she joined the women's fraternity, Kappa Kappa Gamma and had an internship with the U.S. Embassy in Buenos Aires.
Following University she returned to Los Angeles where she began an acting career. Her biggest role came in 2011 playing Rachel Zane on USA networks drama, Suits. In 2013 she ended her two year marriage to Trevor Engelson citing irreconcilable differences. The pair had been together since 2004.
Meghan met Prince Harry after being set up on a blind date in June 2016 and announced their engagement in November 2017. The couple were married in a ceremony at Windsor Castle in May 2018. Harry and Meghan welcomed a son, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor in May 2019. He was christened at Windsor Castle in July 2019.
In January 2020 they announced they would be stepping back as working Royals to pursue financial independence in the States. They relocated to Los Angeles California in March 2020. In February 2021 they announced they were expecting their second child. Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor was born in Los Angeles in June 2021.
Harry & Meghan continue to work with Netflix and Spotify on projects as well as advocating for causes important to them such as women's rights, the environment, animal welfare, combating misinformation and reforming social media.
She shares two children with Prince Harry (Archie Mountbatten-Windsor and Lilibet Mountbatten-Windsor). Meghan is estranged from her father and two half siblings but remains close with her mother, Doria Ragland. She has a brother and sister-in-law (TRH The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge). She has two nephews (HRH Prince George of Cambridge and HRH Prince Louis of Cambridge) and a niece (HRH Princess Charlotte of Cambridge). The couple currently resides in Montecito California.
