Her Majesty, Queen Camilla (Queen Consort)
Born Camilla Rosemary Shand, the Queen Consort married King Charles III in 2005 in a ceremony at Windsor Castle. The pair originally met in the 1970's and began dating briefly before going their separate ways. Camilla married Andrew Parker Bowles and subsequently divorced in 1995 after 21 years of marriage.
Since marrying King Charles III, Camilla has focused much of her work on survivors of sexual assault and abuse, osteoporosis, literacy and animal welfare. She has spoken at length about the importance of supporting survivors of domestic violence and how the stories have survivors have deeply impacted her. The Duchess also supports the military and veterans through patronages and charities and her honourary military appointments. Appointments include Colonel-in-Chief, The Rifles (Colonel-in-Chief), The Queens Own Rifles of Canada (Colonel-in-Chief), The Royal Australian Corps of Military Police and Commodore-in-Chief of the Naval Medical Service.
She lives in Clarence house in London, where her and King Charles III offices are located. Charles and Camilla also spend time in Gloucestershire, Wales and Scotland regularly throughout the year. They have two dogs called Beth and Bluebell that were adopted from Camilla's patronage, Battersea Home for Cats and Dogs.
Charles and Camilla regularly undertake oversea visits on behalf of the monarchy in their roles as King and Queen of the United Kingdom.
Prior to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II's death, HM shared her hope that Camilla would become known as Queen Consort upon Charles's accession. She became Queen Consort on 8th September 2022 immediately following the late Queens death.
Camilla has two children from her first marriage (Tom Parker-Bowles and Laura Lopes) and two step-children from her second marriage (HRH Prince William, Duke of Cambridge and Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex).
