There are several events throughout the summer that fans have come to expect to see the Royals at, including Wimbledon. The tennis tournament has been a favorite of several royals including The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, The Duchess of Sussex and The Countess of Wessex. This year we were treated to several royal appearances during the two week grand slam tournament.

The tournament started with an appearance by the Duchess of Cambridge, who is patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club. Wimbledon has long been a favorite spot for the Duchess of Cambridges as she attended regularly even before her marriage in 2011 and has watched the tournament nearly every year since. She watched a few matches. before meeting finalists and winners nominated for the annual ITA tennis awards. The Duchess proved that her summer style is flawless in a custom white dress by British designer, Suzannah Crabb. The dress featured a black belt, v-neck collar and black buttons down the center.

The Duchess of Sussex watched her friend, Serena Williams, in a match where she was accompanied by two of her friends from University. The Duchess has attended the tournament the past several years, ever since becoming friends with Serena Williams in 2015. The Duchess of Sussex showed off her effortless casual style in jeans and a white double breasted blazer. She paired the look with some of her favorites accessories, a panama hat and Sunglasses by Finley & Co.

The Duchess of Cambridge and the Duchess of Sussex came back to watch the Women's singles finals between Serena Williams and Simona Halep. It was the second year the Duchesses attended the tournament together and this year they were joined by the Duchess of Cambridges sister, Pippa Matthews. All three women have young sons and it seemed that they had plenty to discuss as they appeared to enjoy one another's company immensely.

The Duchess of Cambridge re-wore her green 1940's inspired Dolce & Gabbana dress while the Duchess of Sussex opted for a Hugo Boss midi skirt paired with a crisp white button-down blouse. Pippa Matthews looked summer ready in a blue and white floral ruffled midi dress.

Pippa Matthews was spotted at the tournament several other times this year as, like her sister, she is a huge fan of the sport. She attended with her Parents, Brother and Husband at different points. Pippa had attended previously with her sister and is regularly spotted at matches each year.

The Duchess of Cambridge visited the tournament for the final time the following day, this time joined by her husband, The Duke of Cambridge. The Duchess wore a bespoke baby blue Emilia Wickstead Midi Dress that she paired with nude block heeled sandals. The couple watched the five hour match between Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic. The Duke and Duchess have long been known for their incredible facial expressions during sporting matches and the men's singles finals was no exception. The Duchess of Cambridge presented the winner, Djokovic with the winners trophy, alongside the Duke of Kent, who is president of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club.

The Countess of Wessex also made an appearance during the tournament this year with Prince Albert of Monaco. She attended day nine of the tournament holding a clutch that read "I'm not saying I'm Wonder Woman. I'm just saying nobody has ever seen me and Wonder Women in the same room before." (This clutch might be my favorite Royal accessory to ever exist, I genuinely laughed out loud when I saw it).

The end of Wimbledon typically coincides with the beginning of Royal Holidays. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge typically schedule vacations according to their children's school schedules so it is unlikely we will see the couple until the Kings Cup on August 9th. The Duchess of Sussex is still on maternity leave and is expected to return to royal duties sometime this Autumn. The Royal Family usually make their way to Scotland towards the end of summer as Balmoral is a favorite spot of the Queens.

However, this Autumn will likely bring a lot of activity from the Royal Family. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have announced a royal tour to Pakistan and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will be touring South Africa with baby Archie. There are also a lot of rumors that Princess Beatrice and her boyfriend, Eduordo Mapelli will announce an engagement in the coming months (that is, of course, all speculation). Princess Charlotte will be starting school at Thomas Battersea alongside her big brother, Prince George in autumn as well.

There is also the Kings Cup on August 9th, where the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will be skipping for a charity regatta in support of eight organizations they work closely with.

Until then, xx
