Giving Tuesday

After a weekend of shopping sales on Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday in preparation for the holiday season, Giving Tuesday comes around reminding all of us for the reason behind the season. Giving Tuesday is a day to donate your time or money to great causes and to celebrate that, here are some royally supported charities you can give to today. You will find links of where you can donate online along with a brief description of the organizations core mission and focus.
Veterans and Armed Services
Royal Commonwealth Ex-Services League: The ex-service league provides financial aid to ex-service members from around the commonwealth.
The Royal British Legion Poppy Factory: Provides work for disabled veterans of disabled dependents of veterans. The Factory makes the poppies worn every year during Remembrance Day.
Blind Veterans UK: Provides support and care to ex-service members who have experienced significant loss of sight.
Children and Youth
GirlGuiding: The Girlguiding organization offers young girls opportunities to grow their skills through challenges they are able to compete and grow in. Based on their age, girls can participate in Rainbows, Brownies, Guides and Rangers programs.
Barnardo's: Provides practical help and support to children in vulnerable situations through fostering, adoption, intervention and education.
Action for Children: Runs several programmes to help and support vulnerable young children across the U.K.
Environment
Norfolk Wildlife Trust: The Trust aims to protect and enhance Norfolks environment and wildlife.
Cleanup UK: The environmental based organization brings together group of volunteers to areas most affected by the litter problem and pollution.
Female Empowerment
100 Women in Finance: Aims to empower and support women in pursuing careers in finance, through education, peer engagement and philanthropy.
Smartworks: Provides the skills, training and wardrobe that women need when first entering or re-entering the workforce.
Literacy
Booktrust: Encourages and fosters a love of reading in young people to create life long lovers of reading.
Mental Health
Heads Together: Launched in 2017, Heads together aims to change the conversation surrounding Mental Health in the UK and globally.
Place2be: Provides therapeutic resources to schools in order to foster healthy mental health for primary and secondary school students through talking, creative work and play.
Childline: Free and confidential online helpline offering support and resources to children and young people.
